Catering Terms of Service

Catering Terms of Service

  1. ) Last-minute orders are always accepted; contact chef abod  directly at 902-448-4473

  2. ) a new corporate account can be set up by calling one of our friendly staff.

  3. ) Our chefs can handle all dietary restrictions

  4. )24 hours' notice is required for orders under $1000; if you need to cancel, please call within 24 hours of your delivery time, or the full charge will be applied.

  4) 3-5 days' notice is required for orders over $1000; if you need to cancel, please call within 48 hours of your delivery time, or the full charge will be applied.

5.) A deposit of $ 1000 is due upon confirmation of booking for very large events( weeding or corporation event order over $3000). Payment of 50% (deposit included) is required 30 days prior to the event, and the balance is due 48 hours prior to the event. Your $ 1,000 deposit will be forfeited for any cancellation within 7 days of the event. 

6.) ALL changes or cancellations MUST be made directly to a Chef Abod staff member in person or over the phone.902-455-3881 / 902-448-4473
Any changes or cancellations made through voice mail, email, fax, etc, will NOT be accepted.

7.) All prices are subject to a 15% catering service fee plus  15% HST for any order under $1000

      All prices are subject to an 18% catering service fee  plus 15% HST for any over  $1000

       All wedding catering subject to an 20 % catering service fee  plus 15% HST

8.) Due to fluctuations in food prices, all prices are subject to chang

9.)  Delivery charges in Halifax vary from $18 and up; Dartmouth deliveries start from $25 and up..
 

10) -Please be informed that we receive a high volume of catering requests during the noon period. As a result, there is a possibility that your order may be delivered 15-30 minutes earlier than your requested delivery time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding

 

11.) Payment is expected at, or before, the time of delivery with cash, check, or credit card online payment direct deposit, or email transfer.

12.) Minimum guaranteed attendance must be received within 48 hours of delivery. If attendance falls below this number within 48 hours, the client will be charged for the guaranteed number.

13) Additional costs are added if you need any cutlery, equipment, or staff.
